Skylanders Academy Lead Writer, Eric Rogers, has recently started leaking some details on the upcoming animated Skylanders series that is set to air Fall 2016. From his twitter page, Rogers has been replying to eager fans without spoiling too much, this includes:
- 10-13 episodes are planned for Season 1
- The show is canon with original content, but with no direct tie-ins to sequels
- No network or program for the show has been selected yet
- Skylanders Academy will be a mixture of Gravity Falls and Futurama
- Certain characters, such as Cynder and Flynn, won't be shown until Season 2
- Half hour episodes
